  • We suggest starting your search by reaching out to local sonography programs to see if they have any recent graduates who may be interested. Job search engines such as Indeed.com tend to also produce candidates. As with all aspects of your ultrasound program, SoundRheum Diagnostics is available to assist. Email us for further details.

  • Depends on the region of the country and the cost of living, but current estimates put a sonographer’s hourly rate between $30-$40 per hour.

  • SoundRheum Diagnostics handles the training process from beginning to end with pre-visit educational presentations and skills assessments, on-site hands-on training, and follow up video feedback. Initial training sessions focus on the hand and foot MSK ultrasound training protocols.

  • Perhaps. Most newer machines are adequate for our scanning protocols; however, there are some machines prevalent in rheumatology offices that may limit your ability to do diagnostic MSK ultrasound. SoundRheum Diagnostics can evaluate your current machine to see if it is suitable for diagnostic MSK ultrasound.

  • While we don’t sell machines, we do have contacts with most major machine suppliers and can recommend a suitable machine for your practice’s needs. SoundRheum Diagnostics does not have financial tie-ins with any ultrasound machine or suppliers, so we can offer impartial opinions on how well different machines will work for your ultrasound program.

  • We’re currently licensed in 18 states (AL, AR, AZ, CA, FL, GA, IL, IN, MD, NC, NY, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA and WI). Our physicians are eligible to become licensed in any US state.

  • SoundRheum Diagnostics has rheumatology-specific scanning protocols for hands, feet, knees, elbows, and shoulders.

  • Approximately 48 hours.
